Start of the Evaluation....

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

What kind of Media Institution might distribute your media product and why?

Who would be the audience for your media product?

How did you attract/address your audience?

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product?

Looking back on your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

In today's lesson we got feedback from Miss Whittaker, which means more editing needs to be done. The titles need to be changed as they are too small and the fonts aren't great. So we have found a new font on Dafont.com. Also, parts of the title sequence jump near the end which need to be sorted out.

In today's lesson, Megan brought in her mac, which provided us with the music for our Title Sequence. We discussed our ideas about how we could change it, as we didn't feel it was right. At the end of the lesson, we had came up with a sound that was more suitable to our genre.

In today's lesson, we looked over the music again, and felt that it still wasn't right. Even with the deadline looming, we decided to start from scratch. I, the other day, took it upon myself to research online free uncopyrighted music that I thought would work well with our Title Sequence. Luckily for me, the other members of my group liked what I had found. I made a short video on iMovie, which contains a few clips of the sounds I liked. This is in the post before this one.

After playing the sounds to the other members, we felt that 'Sly Shepard' would be a good sound to use. I then edited it on iMovie so that bits of the sound were in different orders to fit in with our Title Sequence. I am happy with the outcome, as the sound now flows well and fits in perfectly with our genre.

We have uploaded the clip of Universal studios to the beginning, and moved the title sequence sound about so that it was in the right place. Now we have completed our video, and it is ready for showing in our next lesson!

Sample Music

I thought it would be a good idea to look online at some samples of music that would fit in well with our title sequence. In this video there are 3 clips of some samples that I liked. There were many other suitable ones, and some that weren't quite right. These are just examples of the feel, pace and mood of the music we are looking to use in our title sequence.

With now only 5 days left until the deadline, our editing is complete! Obviously, I only mean the video footage, transitions and titles etc. The music is still to be made on Garage band, and put onto the video. Nearing the completion of our title sequence, I will be able to start with the evaluation.
